16th Annual Allardt Pumpkin Festival Oct 6-7

Real Estate Agent with Good Ole Rocky Top

It is time again for the Allardt Pumpkin Festival.  It is a fun for all event with beauty padgent, car show, motorcycle show, pumpkin run, crafts, food and lots of fun to go around.  It is an event the the entire community looks forward.  People come from far and wide to participate.

  2005 Winner 854 lbs

2006 Record Breaking Winner 1051 lbs

The question is...will 2007 have another record breaking winner.  The crowd was estimated to be 15,000 people in 2006.  We are hoping for larger pumpkins and larger crowds.  Allardt's population is only 700 people.  The Festival began in 1991 when local business man the late Jim Asberry amazed gardners and farmers with a 716.5 lb pumpkin.  At that time it was the largest pumpkin in state history.  The event will end with a great fireworks display.

Now those are some serious pumpkins!  How many pumpkin pies can you make out of one of those?  And you'd certainly need more than one or two candles for that Jack-o-Lantern!

Hi Vickie, I had some clients move to Crossville a few years ago. They said it was a booming new development area and so pretty. It's nice to meet you.
