Re-Tweeting Myself!

By
Real Estate Broker Owner with KGC Properties LLC, Tucson Property Management & Real Estate

For a couple years I was using Twitter and then about 4 months ago - disabled my account for many reasons.

The big reason - taking the advice of Active Rain members who Tweet and realizing that I wasn't doing it effectively.  The biggest thing I learned? Read, learn and then do!  So I am giving Twitter a second go round after reading all the advice I could about it such as:

So you signed up for Twitter - now what?!

Basic Twitter Tips

More Twitter Tips

There are many, many posts I read about Twitter and book marked several - feel free to add your own favorites to share the wealth of information for us!

I still have a long way to go, and probably won't get this one perfect, but I am willing to keep trying!  I think the most important thing I have learned is, if you start doing something, and you realize it's not effective, tweak it (or in this case "tweet it") and give it a second try.  But don't give up and keep learning as you go - no matter what it is!

Now for a little plug - I lost all my followers and "followings" - if you have time and interest - please follow me and I will do the favor!

My next revamp - challenge?  Facebook Page!  All advice on that one is welcome!

Twitter is an interesting tool. Not sure, yet, how effective I am but I still work on it! Good luck!

Gabrielle-

Thanks for the post!

I have recently signed up for twitter as a means to try to keep up with my fellow Realtor competition. I feel like I can't figure out what the heck is being tweeted. It's like it's written in another languauge ! --well it is -- twitter languauge.

I will gladly check out the links you provided since I am very open to learn and excited to feel "techy" and "tweety".

Best of luck with the facebook page ! I created one for our RE/MAX Beachteam a few weeks ago. I haven't perfected what I am doing with it yet but it's there. Still learning there too !

All the Best!

I take one piece of software at a time when doing real estate. Makes it fun to learn.

What ever you do, don't follow Charlie Sheen's method of Tweeting!  Your post points out a great concept; read, learn and then do…
