AS OF 04/11/2011 THERE ARE EXACTLY 57 HOMES FOR SALE

IN THE CITY LIMITS OF MINOT*

Only 4 homes under $125,000.00.

There are 181 pending sales

*Single Family, active status

When viewing these figures keep in mind that Minot North Dakota is a town of 40,000 that experienced at 15% growth last year alone. To say we have a sever housing shortage is a certainly an under statement. The only thing worse in Minot then our housing shortage is the available rentals for families and individuals. We've got the high paying jobs, we just don't have any place to live.

Bob, good information. I hope there are a few houses among those 57 available for sale and those under contract among your listings. Have a great week.

Thanks Bob! It certainly is an interesting market.

Liz, Thank God I do have some listed and some pending plus a couple yet to be listed. I assume I'm the exception to the rule with there being 180 Realtors in town.

Bob - how does the new construction market look there? I know you are just coming out of winter, but is there any?

Bob - We know prospective buyers shop by price and that's a quick snapshot of what's available in each price range in your area.  Great time saving information!

The new tie looks very fresh and Spring-appropriate--you snappy dresser, you!

Mike, Only in the last few years have contractors tried to build during our harsh winters. This winter, one of our harshest on record, we also had record building. Two or maybe even three motels were well under way during the winter and if I had to guess I'd say at least a couple dozen homes were totally built during the winter. I realize twenty four isn't many but it's twenty four more then have ever been built in our winter before. The key is to pour as many foundations as you can before the big freeze.

Laura, I thank God every day for those that are in the pipeline. I'd say I have a half dozen. I've really been blessed to have so many folks come to my little one man operation. I'd sure like to have a partner but no one has taken me up on that yet.

Norma, most every buyer knows what they can spend (Or I get them educated real fast by sending them to a lender) so why waste anyones time showing what they can not afford. The tie has little Easter bunnies on it. I think I need to do a close up so everyone can see I'm in the spirit of the season.

Bob, these numbers are stunning. My town is 30,000 and we had more expire in a week than you have available for sale.

Virginia, WOW! That is a lot of expireds. Sounds like if one would win the lotto you could pick up a lot of investment property there.

Maureen, we certainly would welcome it. A new listing came up yesterday that was reasonably priced ($135,000.) and just 6 hours after it hit the MLS I submitted the 4th offer on the house. Three years ago the same house would have sold for about $75,000.
