San Francisco Real Estate from 45 Lansing to a Single Family House of God

It's been another busy and dynamic week in San Francisco real estate

Today Matt took a look at church buildings that have been converted from their original Godly purpose. Some of them have been featured on national television shows, and all of them have fascinating histories. If you are a unique property enthusiast, then be sure to read on to see if a single family house of God is what you might need.

If your San Francisco real estate aspirations are a little more grounded, then you might be interested in a mortgage program that will allow you to make your home more energy efficient. Britton wrote about the energy efficient mortgage that will provide for up to $8,000 dollars in energy-saving ugrades to a home like new windows, heating, or a/c systems.

While on broker's tour this past week, we stopped by 45 Lansing in the Rincon Hill district of the South of Market neighborhood. The site recently passed to a new developer, who received an updated approval from the planning department to increase the number of smaller units and decrease the number of larger units so they can fit more units in the same amount of space. The site is currently home to an urban pollinator meadow, clearly the birds and butterflies are hoping the development gets held up for a while longer.

If big-picture news is more your thing, then I suggest you take a look at an article with some good news for real estate in transit-friendly urban areas like San Francisco. Apparently Osama Bin Laden wasn't the only horrible thing lurking in the suburbs.

And finally, if all those articles sound like entirely too much reading about San Francisco real estate, then take a look at Matt's walk in the Mt. Sutro open space reserve. Nestled above Edgewood Ave., one of his favorite San Francisco streets, it is a quiet and wonderfully wild space tucked behind UCSF in the midst of an urban environment. Should you ever find yourself in the neighborhood, don't miss the chance to enjoy this special place in San Francisco.

And that's the real estate news from Matt Fuller and Britton Jackson in San Francisco, CA for this past week. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
