Against The River

By
Home Inspector with JRV Home Inspection Services, LLC HOI 394

There are times in our day where we feel like we are swimming up stream. The task at hand looks daunting, the end seems so far away. But if you push the finish from your mind and focus only on the beginning, your outlook should become more optimistic. Just as the salmon begin their long journey at the mouth of the river or the baby begins to crawl before walking, beginning a task brings you closer to your goal.

Rushing river

Jim, for what we are trying to do in today's market, that water seems like a little trickle in a stream. Perseverance is a must.

I appreciate your post. You are right, failing to begin a task will NOT get you closer to the goal. - David

James, This shot reminds of Great Falls. I grew up walking distance from the park on the Maryland side.

Just getting back from a whitewater rafting and kayaking trip that looks all to familiar.  One step/stroke at a time

Jim,

That looks like it could be over here. I have salmon spawning grounds on my place up on the Entiat River. To think those creatures have traveled so far against the odds and the gauntlet is really amazing. It is all about perseverance. Without the first step the end can never be acheived.

Jim, hey---I know that place :)

@Michael, they actually do not allow rafting and kayaking through those falls---somebody gets killed there almost every year.  It is actually even more awesome than the picture shows.

Michael, That looks like some rough water for boating :)

Randy, Thanks.

Ed, Perseverance is always important.

David, You can't finish without first beginning.

Peter, Never been, but if it looks like this shot, it must be beautiful.

Bob, Sounds like fun.

Jay, Sorry :( Actually this way further west.

Craig, I will do my best.

Robert, I was hoping to see some, but did not.

Don, That shot is from out your way.

Nutsy, You shouldn't be drinking early in the morning.

Charlie, I thought you would :)
