The H Team's First Blog Ever!

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty

I have never written a blog before but thought I would try it out since I've been hearing more and more about blogs lately.

Lilly and I have noticed some changes and slow down in the Alamance County market over the last several months.  We have more than one listing that we really feel is priced where it should be for this market but we are not getting any showings.  It has been a bit frustrating but we know things will pick back up.  We want so badly for our Selling Clients to be able to move on to their next phase in life and we sometimes feel like we are the constant messengers of frustrating news to them.  New constructions seems to still be a factor in our market as well.  The existing homes are taking longer and longer to sell as the new builders are offering incredible incentives to buyers.

But, all and all, I feel very lucky to be doing business in the market we are in.  Our prices and appreciation have stayed at a constant, fairly low level for a few years now so we are not affected by the "real estate bubble" that so many other markets are experiencing.  We still have many buyers from other areas looking to move here and we love this area so it is truly a pleasure to help people relocate to central NC.

Welcome to ActiveRain, Hilary and Lilly, from a fellow KW agent! Our Las Vegas market going through a challenging correction period right now, and it's difficult for resales to compete with builders. We're also eager for the market to pick back up.

The H Team.  I have been in mortgage lending in the Burlington market for past 5 years.  I am also a realtor, and licensed contractor.  I totally agree with the resales in the area.  I am seeing more and more sellers giving away all their equity to buyers for incentives to buy there homes.  On the mortgage lending side I have transistioned myself to working with more builders to have a more consistant base of clients coming in.  Rates are improving everyday, so I am hoping it creates an abundance of buyers or refinancing.  Please let me know if I can assist you or your clients with any financial questions in the future.  I can be reached at 336-263-4408.
