SEOSS Search Engine Optimization Strategy Specialist

By
Real Estate Agent with Century 21 Olde Tyme

Now everyone if you are old to enough to remember The sitcom Stalag 13 with Sargent Schultz and his accent. If you are not old enough and seen any old German WWII Movies just think of the accent when the SS guy was quizzing someone.

"Do you have your Keywords ?"

"Your Keywords Please "

"Your Keywords are not in order ."

LADIES AND GENTLEMEN SEO IS NOT ROCKET SCIENCE. READ THE BOOK SEO AN HOUR A DAY.....

You start with keywords, available for Free through google. Then write a keyword rich content website. Mix in things about the neighborhood, Open Houses Schedule and all things that would interest a home buyer and seller. Use a website that allows you to insert html code into the title as well as other area's of the html layout. Make multiple pages with varying titles and keywords. DO NOT BOILERPLATE ALL THE PAGES, MEANING KEYWORDS META TAGS ETC. CAN NOT BE ALL THE SAME.

Do not use splash screens or other objects that the search spiders can not see through to scan your pages.

Your web host must allow you to create and publish a site map.

If you do these things and periodically come in and freshen your content, not keywords if they are correct leave them alone, Always write all paragraphs with appropriate keywords sprinkled in. No hidden text or other tricks.

Also get some links to your site from other on topic sites. Do not do reciprocal links or join a link farm.

You must submit your site to as many search engines as you can and register your site map with at least google.

If you do this, and anything I left out, you will kick those guys in position 1-10 on the first page of any search out of there position. This will take about 2-3 months.

Simple but solid advice.  I think there was a movie Stalag 13 and the tv show, Hogan's Heroes, was the spin off.  I loved watching the reruns growing up.

Hi Doug,

I've been told before to register a site map with Google.  Can you explain to me what the purpose of that step is and why it's important?  We know it's important but we don't know why.

Thanks,

Ann

It took a while to keep my web master to add the site map, I sent them but they finally did. Good advice and I'll wait for the response to Ann's question.

Very good advice. We don't know enough about this stuff and there are a whole bunchof folks who want to take our money to make us # 1 on Google--we need to be educated consumers so thanks for the post.

Carolyn hit the TV trivia right on.  The sitcom was Hogan's Heroes.  There was a movie called Stalag 13, but it wasn't related to Hogan's Heroes, and wasn't a comedy.

Hi everyone I will individually answer all posts later. Currently I am sitting in a class at the Realtor Expo in Anaheim on Creating awesome flyers in Windows. SiteMaps. Briefly Google will search your site more often and more completly. Join the group Search Engine Optimization: An Hour a Day then I highly recomend getting the book by the same name. It is simple and lays all of this out.

Enjoy everyone So far at the Realtor Tech Tuesday they are teaching me things I already know. But maybe I'll see A trick or two...

No SEO is not hard, just time consuming.  The only thing is you need to stay away from these companies who call trying to sell you that they will get you to the top of google, well I am sorry, they are not googles partner, they are just selling you on a over priced PPC service.
