Don't let video bloopers stop you. It takes practice. Look at this professional.

How many times did he practice before he got it right? Yes, it's about practice.
But it's also about just being yourself and not worrying about perfection.
This isn't a big budget Hollywood movie that you are going to make millions of dollars from.

Everyone wants to be a star.
We've all seen the outtakes from movies that show mistakes and blunders and they're actually funny when you watch them.
We're all human. We make mistakes. And it's OKAY.
Don't let that fear stop you from stepping in front of the camera and making a short video presentation.

  • It doesn't have to be a masterpiece.
  • It doesn't have to be long.
  • You don't have to spend hours editing either.
  • Start simple.
  • Put a plan together of what you want to record on video.
  • It could just be a quick introduction of who you are and what services you provide.
  • It could be about a local neighborhood. Imagine, you driving through a couple of streets showcasing some nice homes near a listing that you have.
  • It could be about a local business. Is there any new local business openings?
  • Do you have a favorite restaurant?
  • How about the local park and the relaxing settings it offers? Draw people there for lunch break.
  • About to start a how-to project? Show a short video of doing it right.

Keep it simple.
Under three minutes is optimal.
Even shorter if possible.

Tom, the first step is the toughest. After that we start running with excitement and shouting "look what I did".

Lisa, I like the pictures in your posts. Vibrant colors and an eye to detail of the surroundings. Now, if you could create a two minute or less video of these same surroundings, you might increase your internet exposure. Go ahead and play with it.

Nor, stepping in front of the camera can be scary. Soon it will become a comfort zone after you realize the potential of showcasing with videos. The creative juices will flow and you will lie awake nights thinking of your next video shoot.

Hi Craig,

I just got the "pop up blocker " off to allow for the A/R pop up's to let me post pictures.

I think videos are a ways off.

Clint, we all have to start somewhere. Adding pictures is a good first step. Once you are comfortable with that, the next step is video. You will get there.
