Motivational Power Quote

Doing Our Best

"I'm trying to do the best I can,

I'm not concerned with tomorrow,

but with what goes on today."

Mark Spitz, Olympic Goal Mental

As I see it. . . . . . . .

Doing our best

Doing our best is not a maybe or a sometime thing, it's a personal commitment to be the best that you can be and in doing your best in the tasks that you undertake.

Stand and be recognized . . . .

1972 was a very special year for Mark Spitz.

Mark Spitz won seven goal metals in the 1972 Munich Olympic Games and was recognized as an Olympic Champion. During the 1972 games Mark did his best and was recognized for his commitment to excellence in being reward with seven gold metals for excellence in his events.

Champions are made far from the arena.

During the 1972 Munich Olympic Games Mark Spitz was recognized for his commitment to doing his best.

His gold metals where awarded to Mark at the games for his excellence, but he won the metals with his commitment to doing his best many miles away from Munich.

For many years Mark made a commitment to personal excellence and conditioned himself to be a winner and champion. Through the years of work to become the best, Mark's toughest critic was Mark. He had to push himself to become the best he could be even when no one was watching and no one was around pushing him.

He knew that to be the best it had to come from inside of him. He understood that other could push him, but to become a champion he had to push his limits and himself.

When mark won the seven gold metals that the Olympics he made it look easy.

With his years of preparation and dedication to do his best when he actually participated in his events at the Olympics he was physically and mentally prepared to win. He had prepared for those events in his mind thousands of times and his commitment to doing his best made it look easy.

Champion in sports and in life are those who are committed and to do their best everyday of their life and when we do our best we will stand in the winner's circle of life.

Many of us should take this advice and just live in the moment once in awhile...leave tomorrow for tomorrow

Lou....I remember Mark well.  He had that huge comeback as well.  Couldn't quite get there, but as a spin off, I always say winners never quit and quitters never win.  Good words today!

Thanks for the quote, Lou.  I had a client give me a great kudos yesterday about a project we did together.  He said the great end result tells a lot about my character.  That was a comment in private, but it was a banner headline in my head.  I appreciate when people see the intent in my heart through the efforts in my life.

lou,

That was an awsome read and so true in life. Most people do not realize how much work that it really takes to be a champion. But once you set your mind to do something and are wiling to work hard to get there, most likely you will get there. But no one said that it will be easy and there will be some ups and downs.
