Think A Mouse With A Crash Helmet With Exceptions

Mouse With CheeseI love witty quotes of wisdom in life. I also LOVE the anti-quote that refutes all that wisdom. Why? Cause there are exceptions to the rule. So don't be a stick in the mud with rigid thinking and think the opposite from time to time even in real estate.

Think A Mouse With A Crash Helmet With Exceptions.

You've heard, "the early bird gets the worm?" True in many cases and encourages you to be assertive and a go getter. BUT, not always.

"The second mouse gets the cheese." It is true sometimes to be the cautious second one in real estate and business, learning from others' mistakes.

What do they call those people with the arrows in their backs? Pioneers.

In real estate think of myths you could easily debunk with exceptions out there:

  • someone with raggedly clothes can't buy a million dollar home
  • someone dressed nice and who talks well can qualify for many upscale homes for you to show them
  • someone with a neat as a pin house could never see it fall into foreclosure
  • someone with a messy car that pulls up alongside of you on the road when you have a flat tire is not one to trust to help you at that moment

On and on it goes in life with exceptions. Give people breaks. Cut them slack. DO NOT prejudge people and REMEMBER the early bird does NOT always get the worm. A coming along SECOND mouse which just happens to be wearing a crash helmet for double protection in my photo GETS the cheese !!!

Gary,

Cute post and photo too!. Reminds me of that old saying, "You can't judge a book by its cover!"

Loved the humor in your post!
