As you discuss our school district with your family, and friends, please feel free to share the following information regarding DSISD's strong performance during the 2009-2010 Academic Year:
Each year, the Texas Education Agency (TEA) uses a number of factors - TAKS performance, high school completion rate, and dropout rates, for example - to rate districts as a whole and individual campuses, specifically, within each district.
Based on this information, TEA assigns districts and individual campuses one of the following ratings: Exemplary, Recognized, Academically Acceptable, and Academically Unacceptable.
For the 2009-2010 Academic Year, DSISD achieved the highest possible district-wide designation - "Exemplary."
For the 2009-2010 Academic Year, the following DSISD campuses received an "Exemplary" rating - Dripping Springs High School, Rooster Springs Elementary, and Walnut Elementary.
For the 2009-2010 Academic Year, the following DSISD campuses received a "Recognized" rating - Dripping Springs Middle School and Dripping Springs Elmentary.
