RealTown Blogs Traffic vs. Active Rain

Real Town Blogs vs, Active Rain

This is Alexa so it is skewed....  RealTown Blogs as a whole are very stable... they are not losing traffic but they are not growing the way Active Rain is.

That is not to say that individual RealTown Blogs are not growing.  Jonathan Dalton's Blog now accounts for 7% of the traffic on RealTown Blogs. Jonathan's traffic has been growing steadily.  Keep up the good work Jonathan!

What do you think is the reason the traffic is growing on your blog?  Is it doing battle with the bubble bloggers? Playing with other real estate bloggers? Something else?

Yeah Alexa is fairly inaccurate but it's still fun to watch :)  We're pulled in over 5,500 unique visitors each day this week so far, compared to an average of about 4,500/weekday the past week so or traffic is climbing.

Interesting info!  I just got my 3rd lead from AR today.  It was out of my area, so I referred it out, but it was another lead who found me on AR.

I think I get very little to no traffic on my RT blog.  At least that's my guess anyway.

Matt:  Is there any alternative to Alexa? Any other way to compare traffic?

Frances Flynn Thorsen (my fairy blog mother) shared something...on BlogTalk (RealTown Bloggers forum) about Quantcast and I joined it but unless others join it does not have info....

Monika: According to Alexa, my blog is 9% of the traffic of all of the RT blogs.... Bonnie Erickson's had the most traffic historically (this is all according to Alexa so remember Alexa sucks... if I don't say that someone else will) Bonnie had the most traffic.  I believe because she made the list on Pubsub before it bellied up but even after the list on PubSub " bellied up", it still ran....

Then when she did the 101 challenge Ardell's blog picked up a lot of traffic, I believe it did 19% according to the latest Alexa figures.

Jonathan Dalton's blog has been fun to watch the traffic on Alexa, he was 3% before he got to be a featured blog... there are lots of featured blogs that are just doing 1% or less of the traffic on Active Rain. I think Jonathan's rise has to do with taking on the Bubble bloggers.  and good writing... I wonder what Jonathan attributes it to.

I use stat meter and Google Analytics to measure my traffic and what is being read too.  It is wildly up and down depending on what I write, when I write....

Ann: 3 leads from Active Rain that is wonderful!

Check out www.compete.com It is going great guns with Alexa and even has the gumption to pay for ad words to be featured above their selection in keyword search.

I do not understand what you mean by "a solid."

There are other real estate networks.... everyone wants to be the next ActiveRain.  WannaNetwork, Broker Agent Social.

The graph here is interesting it looks like it is  a jpg not an embed.  Alexa sucks, I switched to using Compete.com but I think they have changed their program.  Wonder what my graphs from over the years look like.
