Garden Steps - Before and After

By
Real Estate Agent with The DiGiorgio Group

The garden 'stairs' I installed a few years ago worked OK for a while, but they had started to look pretty bedraggled. At the same time, I decided to eliminate my pond, because I had a young grandson and another on the way, and didn't want to risk any accidents. So ... the digging began, I hired a neighbor kid to lug the two largest peices of flagstone to their new spot. And ...     My new stairs look much better, don't you agree?     Plus, I got a new garden spot out of the pond area.

The only tools required for this project were a shovel and a level. Oh, and a neighbor's young back and strong arms!

Now, to get started on setting up that new fountain .... ha ha! It never ends! (And I love it - that's the beauty of gardening!)

I write posts on real estate issues and local events in the Denver metro area, especially those *communities between Denver and Boulder, as a public service. My hope is to give people an idea of the 'flavor' of our community, in case they're new or moving to the Denver area.

I am a residential real estate agent, happily helping folks buy a house or sell a house in the beautiful and friendly *suburbs northwest of Denver.

Joetta, it looks like you are making progress on your yard.  Mine isn't fair too well with two or three dogs using it as a race track and rolling around on all of the plants.  (My neighbor's dog visits regularly.)   I look forward to seeing more pictures as the nice spring/summer weather progresses.

Right now I have tomatoes, peppers, onions and golden raspberries.  Haven't been out there for a couple of weeks due to family issues, so probably a lot of weeds too!
