Tropical Cole Slaw

By
Contractor with Baker Energy Audits and Commercial Properties Inspections Happiness is Homemade

Be sure you use a fulley ripe banana. I've seen folks that did not like cole slaw go for a second helping of this one.

2 cups shredded cabbage

1/2 cup brated carrot

1/2 cup diced greeb bell pepper

1 cup crushed pineapple well drained

1 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper

1/2 cup sour cream

1 large ripe banana

a dash of paprika

In a large bowl combine the cabbage, carrot, green pepper, pineapple, salt and black pepper.

Add the sour cream and mix lightly.

Cover and chill at least 2-3 hours.

At service time peel and dice the banana.

Fold into the cabbage mixture.

Garnish with paprika.

Serve on cold plates.

Have a good one

This sounds like a slaw I had once that I have been trying to duplicate. Now I can just use your recipe. The banana will add an interesting twist.

I did this, y'all, and it was good.  Like most everything else I do, I can't just leave it as is.  So, I added 1/4 cup of cream cheese.

It is very good. Glad I could be of help.

Howdy Jimmy

Glad you liked it. I'll have to try it with the 1/4 cup of cream cheese. I am the same way Jimmy can't leave things as is.

Have a good one both of you
