Maintaining Your Facebook Page Just Got Easier...

Over the past few months, Facebook has gone to great lengths to make their Pages feature for businesses separate from personal profiles. As a result, you have to go to a separate help center for your page, create a separate URL for it, and like business pages and add applications while under the login of your Facebook business page. It can get confusing, knowing where to go on Facebook to get exactly what you need for your page, and to make sure that you stay on top of all the new features the site seems to add every few months. Social media is ever-changing, and it’s hard even for social media specialists to keep up with the latest trends. That’s why Facebook has created the brand-new “Resources” feature! Now, you can access everything you need, from Facebook ads to the Twitter application to help guides, all in one place. It makes it much easier for busy real estate agents like you to stay on top of what’s happening in the world of Facebook Pages.

In order to access this awesome new feature, you need to log in to your Facebook account, and then go to your Facebook business page by clicking the “Account” drop-down menu, selecting “Use Facebook as Page”, and clicking on the link to your page. Once you’re on the page, you need to click the “Edit Page” button in the upper right hand corner of the page, and you will be taken to your page’s back-end. You will see a sidebar menu, and there will be an icon of an orange flag that says “Resources” next to it. Click on that, and you will see a list of eleven links that will be key resources for your social media marketing success. Here are just a few of the highlights:

The “Best Practice Guides to Make Your Page Engaging” gives you links to every how-to guide for Facebook pages, from how to create a page to how to add applications and create groups. They also give you a guide to Facebook Insights, or your page’s analytics, and also give you tips on how to customize your Facebook presence, examples of how others are building their presence, and even how to post photos and videos. It’s a great resource to use if you need some new ideas or want to add something new to your page.

You can access popular features, such as the Twitter application and the page where you can create a custom URL. Many Facebook business page users feed their Facebook page to Twitter and create a custom URL for their profile once they hit 25 fans. Before this trusty resources page, you had to know the separate URLs for both of these features on Facebook. Now, all you need to do is head to your “Resources” page, and you can access both right from there. It will save you time and make things much easier.

It tells you how to send updates to all of your fans. Are you sending inbox message updates to your fans? Doing so once in awhile can be effective, and it’s a great way to give your fans special updates and promotions. You can use your “Resources” page to send updates quickly, without searching your page’s back-end and marketing features.

Making your Facebook presence easier to maintain is what the Resources tab has to offer. When you have a hard enough time navigating the site as it is, this is another feature that Facebook has added that actually helps you find what you need in order to build your presence faster.

If you ever need help creating your Facebook page in order to access these resources and quality social networking tips, your real estate virtual assistants would be happy to help!

Make it a great day!
