It's raining men... or QR codes...

It's raining men... I mean QR codes...

When I saw the Active Rain post challenging the use of QR codes in real estate I knew I had to speak up. QR codes are a no brainer to me.  How can something that is free to create and can be used in so many aspects of your business be bad?

I have heard the arguments from agents that many people in their area  don't know what they are.  That is fine, and I will still continue to use other forms of getting myself and our listings out there... but for the cost of $0 it's another way to promote myself and my business.

The image below contains some of my creative uses of QR codes
QR codes

I have them on my business cards (first pic), as stickers on each of our listings where people can get more information on the propery, and even on a t-shit (granted this is more for curiosity factor then function.. though if I hold really ... really... still... it does work to lead you to my website.  It's more for the "what's that thing I keep seeing everywhere" factor :)

I guess it could be difficult to scan on the move and I can certainly understand why you need to go on the back.  A great idea.

Cindy- Thanks for stopping by. Give QR codes a chance.  I can't guarantee they will catch on but as we've said, it's free so why not!

Doug- it is hard to scan unless I hold very.very.still but the theory is that it will get the QR code out there and my name as well :) And yes.... I think the back of the shirt is safest!!!

I want mine on a shirt. We've put listings on shirts before- people love to talk to us about them.

Christie, the back of the t-shirt is a very creative idea! It definitely does get people to start talking to you.

Leslie & Trang - I wear that shirt everywhere too!  The gym, dog training class, parties. It's great for places where wearing my name tag would seem too formal!
