Road Rage...

Road Rage...
I have come to the distinct conclusion that, today, folks on the road are absolutely nuts. I noticed that a female was riding my bumper and flipping me. Stopping at a traffic light, she was giving me the evil eye and working those jaws. I rolled down the window and said, "What the problem?"
     You.
     Me?
     Yes, You. You did...
So you're mad at me because I did not do what you wanted me to do?
     Yes.
"Babe, get a life and grow up! Folks are not always going to do what YOU want them to do. They are going to drive and do things according to their agendas, not yours. So get over it or quit driving." I drove off and left her there.

IMHO, That has to be the main reason that folks experience road rage. I have been known to get irked at some fool doing something that doesn't bode well with me. When that happens, I take a deep breath and grumble under my breath, "Well bless his/her heart!" Yeah! Right!!!
     Y'all have a great day...

Micheal, I used to really get upset but anymore I just get out of their way! These must to be emotionally angry people. Life is to short and there is to much to enjoy.

I have an iPad app that has some very unique statements for those pesky drivers.

Well Michael I must say I "bless" a lot of people on the road :)!  There is simply no reason for Road Rage as all it does is upset the person.  Problem is, is that some have taken it to the next level and actually hurt people.  We have to be careful these days.

Good morning Michael,

I couldn't agree with Lenn more! People do take their personality with them when they are driving!! It has nothing to do with how anyone is driving..it is strictly how they react to all situations! Many people are cramming too much into too little time..their impatience always rears it's ugly head!

I don't want to agree with Lenn because that scares me . . .  each of these whackos on the road are like that in real life?   No, too scary for me!!

I'm with Amy;  I don't take the road rules as mere suggestions.  Cruise control gets set at the speed limit.  Indicator gets used for all turns and Mirrors are not just used for touching up lipstick :0)

Sorry your day got off to a bad start!

Sad reflection of the times that road rage is becoming so much more prevalent.  I'd say it's a combination of the drivers personality (a product of a me me upbringing) and an over scheduled and overstressed lifestyle.  Hope the rest of your day is filled with things to make you smile.

This is what it comes down to...we are ALL spending too much time in our cars. Too many drivers. Too many cars. Not enough pavement.

Well Michael,  It looks like we're all together on this one.  I am so happy and excited about life that I just cannot get upset because somebody else does what I disagree with.  How sad to be that way.  If the little old lady ahead of me is driving ten miles less than the speed limit in a no passing zone, ho hum, I just cruise along behind and hope I can still drive when I'm a little old lady.

A little late to the party, but Lenn, your first commentor today, summed it up perfectly. It's not a driving problem, it's a personality problem.

Michael, living in a rural area, ROAD RAGE is one of the things I am glad I don't experience (on either side) nearly as much as I used to...

I've never had even a hint of road rage, probably because I'm always listening to classical music in the car, and music is so soothing. I certainly would never have done what you did because out here it could result in your death. There's no telling what the other guy is on, or has in his car. Best just to move on.

As far as I know, I am a very nice guy... I've been told quite a few times... but when I am driving, I get irritated with people as well. It reminds me of that Disney cartoon where Goofy gets really irritated with everyone on the road, but is such a nice guy before and after he enters the car.

Howdy and evening to you Michael

Michael,
there sure a lot of folks that become nitwits out on the roads at times. I don't blame you at all, I would have said the same kind of thing to someone like that. I actually have.

Have a good one
Dale

Some of the drivers in Tennessee are very arrogant and ingnore the law and the other drivers. I notice that most of them still have an Obama sticker still on the car. It tells me all I need to know.
