The first ever Cary, NC Lazy Daze was August 27th, 1977. Now we enter 2011 and celebrate 35 years of small town business and artists from across the nation who come to the area just for this special event. Southeast Tourism Society has included Lazy Daze in their Top 20 Events for August 2011. Festivities begin at 9am in the town square, in front of Fidelity bank, with the Green Hope and Cary High School marching bands playing pieces from their shows. Entertainment carries on all day with the Grass Cats, International Ballet Company, JAMFEST winner Coastal Vision, and many more.
Events last until 5pm on that Saturday. You can visit booths set up by local businesses or check out all the art from across the nation that gets brought in. Vendors will be all over the place in case you get hungry while walking around. Lazy Daze has been a huge event in our town and we would love to have you all out again this year.
