The Plainfield real estate market saw a much needed 2.8-percent decrease in the total number of homes for sale, from 213 in June to 207 in July. What’s more this represents a 4.2-percent decrease in the number of Plainfield homes for sale when compared to last July’s total of 216. The only stat in this category to disappoint, albeit slightly, was that of the quarterly comparison. There were, on average, 0.5 percent more homes on the market from May through July of this year compared to this same time last year, when the average was 211 listings.
