QR Code Signs - Re-Defined

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with Jack Pratt Signs

Since we started doing QR Codes on yard signs over a year ago, we've received a lot of feedback.  I remember talking with Ben Kinney at RainCamp Prescott and mentioning QR Codes on yard signs.  You could of heard a pin drop - except for the two ladies in the front row who I thought were going to jump out of their skin.

Now, nearly a year later, QR Codes have swept through the Real Estate Community!  But what is the best way to actually use one on your Yard Sign?

As far as I'm concerned, there's a right way, a wrong way and the way we do it.

Jack Pratt QR Code Signs

Introducing QR Code "Side-Riders".

QR Code Side-Riders are a 12x18 sign that attaches to the side of your sign/post, and allows the Code to be nearly a full square foot in size, making it easier to scan with fewer errors.

QR Code Side-Riders are mounted to the side of the frame/post, which makes scanning the Code much easier!

Don't worry, we have special hardware, that is provided at no extra cost, that allows the sign to attach on the side of your frame and/or post.

Smaller, QR Code riders only allow the actual code to be only 2 or 3 inches tall.  That's a huge drawback because you want to make it easy for your prospects to get the information!  Our QR Code Side-Riders eliminates the prospect getting out of the car and driving forward or backward to get a good scan.

Also, QR Code Side-Riders have enough space at the bottom to add personal branding, additional information, URL's, and messages while they are scanning your QR Code.

If you have a personal logo, we can add it.  If you want a distinct QR Code "Side Rider" designed, we can do that too!  Remember, it's all about you and your ability to deliver quick results to prospects!

Hi Monte, these look really great - these should be much easier to scan from a distance in a car.

I like this idea a lot. I have an app that is accessed via a QR code on my business card. They are definitely a wave of the future. I'm interested in the pricing. Do they work with metal signs - the kind with two legs.

@ Karen: You are welcome! When the viewing distance of QR Codes is greater, for instance on a yard sign, bigger is better. When used on flyers or other marketing materials where the viewing distance is only a few inches, the size does not matter.

@ Bruce: I understand completely... First, I agree that it will take at least a few more years for the general public to recognize a QR Code and know what to do when they see it. QR Codes are gaining a lot of momentum and I believe that they will be used more by any and all industries that need to provide quick information to customers. It is a two-part plan: To provide quick info to prospects and generate lead capturing. Providing quick info must be easy too. Prospects want information on "that" house and want it now. Think about a brochure box... It's quick and easy but no lead capturing. A website rider can have lead capturing if you set up a form page for prospects to fill out first, but the URL must be short and memorable. Registering domain names for all your listings can get expensive. Not to mention that the riders are costly too and are not useable after that listing has sold.

@ Arpad: In my opinion, it's best to generate a QR Code toward the listing info. Go to www.qrstuff.com on generating QR Codes for free! As far as Open House surveys, that sounds like a great idea!
