Don't Yank My Chain!


Short Sales in Phoenix are plentiful as are Foreclosures. What works is that a lot of  first time home buyers, investors and move-up buyers are able to get some smoking low prices on Phoenix Area Homes. And with interest rates being so ridiculously low, it's one of those no brainer times to purchase a home or investment(s) - if - the time is right for you.

So what's all this about yanking my chain?  Thanks for asking! Here's the deal, my clients, home buyers and investors, Straight Talking Phoenix Real Estate Brokerunderstand that I shoot straight and tell them exactly as I see it.  That's just the way I do business and have for the last 24 years.  When I think  a home is going to sell fast, I'll tell you. When I think it's priced right, I'll tell you. When I think it's really a dump and not a great investment, I'll tell you.  I'm not in business to sell you something you don't want and is a poor investment. Period. And my clients don't want me to make up some fancy story, they just want my experienced perspective. It's my job to guide the process and it's my home buyers and investors job to make the final choices.

Why is it so important to say this today?   A potential buyer I worked with briefly, was certain I had no idea of what I was talking about.  He wanted it his way and that was that.  He seemed to know it all - yes one of those types.  Of course he had never purchased a home before nor had any real solid facts to back up his strategy and wild ideas.  And when he started in with a few 'choice' words, well that's when I called it quits. And this is before I had even met the guy!  Unbelievable.

I work with such great clients, and I have for years, in fact many have been with me from my very first years in the real estate industry. Sometimes you just need to "cut em' loose" Anna.  There is such a limited supply of homes out there, and you're better off working with buyers who can appreciate what you bring to the table.

I fired a "know it all" a few weeks ago.  She seemed to know everything and felt I wasn't telling her what she wanted to hear.  In the end, it wasn't worth the aggrevation.

Anna Banana, "choice words"?  That has never worked with me neither.  I don't know why some people think it's necessary but in my opinion if they show this kind of lack of respect from the onset, there is not way but to get away from them.  Good for you and have a great weekend!

Markita - I think we can say things in a way that is not harsh but rather showing them all sides and giving them some perspective to consider. This seems to work best for my clients. Then it's up to them to make their choice.

Rosalie - actually for being 40+ man if acted more like an emotional teenager that of course knows it all. And we know how that works out!

Marge - that's what they pay us for!  Can you imagine going to an attorney and insisting the laws are not what he/she it telling us.  Or a dentist?  Craziness.

Fernando - yes and we have a lot of that going on here with constant multiple offers.

Chuck - yes there are and many haven't reached 16 yet!

Michael - after all these years in the biz my clients know I tell it like it is because - I care.

Bill - not much.  And he made it also clear that I had no clue and was just out for me. Huh?  What planet did he come from.  All this after 2 short phone calls of about 5 minutes each. Crazy.
