I do not think that the GOVERNMENT is ever responsible for creating jobs UNLESS the goal is to increase the size of Government.

I also think that it makes any sense at all to spend ANOTHER $450B to $650B to do basically the EXACT same thing that the stimulus package ($750B) was supposed to do yet didn't.

Does anyone have any idea how much money $450B is?  Well, by way of example, world-wide, WAL-MART GROSSED $405B.  That isn't profit, that's every penny that Wal-Mart took in, in every store they operate, in ever city, state and country they exist in.  $405B Gross income.

I don't think it will work, but I do think it will add a few billion to the already-unsustainable debt burden our elected officials have allowed to build up. If they stop worrying about getting re-elected and take some action to stop the economy from being destroyed, it will lessen the unavoidable coming crisis that will adversely affect the people who cannot survive it the most.

In my opinion, the problem isn't just the Job's bill...it is a mindset. What happened to the mindset of I am a little down and out, What can I do to improve my situation? Instead of the currently popular mindset of Who is going to take care of me?

I like how you think Ken. We should be taking care of ourselves, not expecting someone to take care of us!
