Meshing PiecesWith clients and even ALL people in our lives there is a harmony with them or a disharmony with them. Do you know in business you ought to be trying to find your IDEAL clients? Those that are a best fit for the services you provide. With friends or significant others, ideal would be people who are GOOD FOR YOU with who you are in life. With this process in mind

We Are Constantly Checking Our Meshing With Others

It truly takes time to see if the puzzle pieces or teeth on two different size gears MESH WELL together.

With all people or friends/acqaintances we will not be that PERFECT fit or even close to ideal some days, but they are still someone we can work with. That personality fit of the OTHER hopefully not you, where they say does not work or play well with others, hopefully those people are few and far between. But meshing well with others you find out about along the way. How do they operate when things go well? How do they behave when everything goes badly around them? How are their values and what is important to them match up or compare with your values and what is important to you? We don't want clones of ourselves naturally and we learn from differences and variety spices up our life. I do think sometimes it is true that opposites attract, but more importanly after that, similarities endure.

Work to mesh well yourself and seek out others who mesh well with you.

Donna: Great point that sometimes only the great agents like yourself can EDUCATE the client like they really need and you take them on even if they might be difficult to work with.

This is a wonderful analogy and imagery. So often people try to dictate the edges and those edges can be sharp.  It is a constant adjustment that is being made with daily interactions and things don't always fit until your find the connecting points. Find the connecting points and things work better.  Great blog, Gary

Gary, I think the most successful agents are chameleons that mesh well with most of their customers and clients. They try to adapt to others personality and quirks and create a meeting of the minds.

Gary - I have a tendency to get along with everybody.  Now there are times where I sell homes to people I don't want to have as my neighbor because I see their other not so nicer side.  However, I'm in business to sell homes and that is my priority regardless if there is the "perfect" fit. These folks are far and few in between.

As far as my spouse and "real" friends are concerned, I concur with Gayle's comment about core values :)
