and taking the 20-gallon challenge at a Neighborhood Network Community Meeting - October 29th
Residents are invited to learn more about current and future development projects at the Neighborhood Network Fall Community Meeting at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, October 29th at the McCoy Equestrian & Recreation Center, 14280 Peyton Drive. Christine Kelly, Community Development Director, and Zai Abu Bakar, Assistant Community Development Director, will update residents regarding development trends and projects in Chino Hills.
Staff from the Public Facilities & Operations Department will also challenge residents to take "The 20-gallon Challenge" at the meeting. California's water supply has been severely affected by the driest year on record and a ruling by a U.S. District Court Judge that requires State and Federal water project managers to reduce the amount of water they pump from the Sacramento - San Joaquin River Delta in order to protect the threatened delta smelt from extinction. Chino Hills expects a 30% reduction in our water supply in the spring of 2008. A question and answer period will follow. For information, please call Bonnie Michaels at (909) 364-2730.
