Fall Is In The Air

Fall Is In The Air!

The middle of September and you can definitely tell that fall is in the air in Colorado.  The days of shorts and sandals are gone until next year.  The flowers are slowly going in to dormant state and the leaves on the trees are starting to turn.

In a couple weeks, the aspens will be turning in the mountains and boy is that a sight to see.  I will try to get up there and get some pictures of the golden mountain sides to share with everyone.  It is truly amazing.

Yesterday while I was out, I noticed some of the maple leaves turning in a parking lot. The contrast in color was quite pretty, at least I thought so.

Yes, Belinda. The Fall can be very beautiful, and I would love to see more photos of the mountains when you take them.

Hi Belinda~ Love the pictures!  It's always a little sad for me to put away the sandals and flipflops!  I do love the fall colors and weather!

Hi Belinda -

Indeed fall is in the air.  We love Aspens and are considering 'trying' to grow a couple in the backyard.  I'm not sure how happy they will be living in Albuquerque.  No fall color change here yet but it won't be long.  Thanks for the great pics and the hope of color soon to arrive in NM.

Best regards from the Q

Jerry,  I will make a point of heading up there as soon as I hear the time is right.  Hopefully it doesn't snow too soon and freeze all the leaves off the trees.

Karin,  I hear that.  Now I have to spend a few hours changing clothes out from one closet to another.

John.  I bet aspens would grow in your neck of the woods.  They are usually pretty hardy.  They like to be planted close together - like groups of three.

Fall is in the air here on the east coast also.  The leaves aren't changing yet, but when they do it is spectacular.  The leaf peepers will be coming to visit soon.  Enjoy.  The photos are beautiful.  Also look forward to seeing more photos.

Hi Belinda, beautiful colors and I am ready for fall.  It is dark, drizzling and overcast here today.  Have a nice day!

Cindy,  That is funny - the leaf peepers.  Your side of the country does have a beautiful blanket of color.

Judith.  Sounds like fall has arrived in your town as well.  At least the skies are blue here today!

Sussie.  Wonder why you don't have the changing leaves in your part of Texas.  Maybe the nights don't get cold enough....

Kym,  At least you get lots of sunshine in your state and warm Palm Tree weather...

Denise.  I do love fall as well as long as winter doesn't rush in.
