The park is nestled in between the Finn Hill - Juanita neighborhoods of Kirkland. The park is minutes away from beautiful Juanita Beach and the shores of Lake Washington.

The park sits on 220 acres of beautiful and natural wooded land. Surprisingly, it’s also stuck in the middle of Eastside suburbia. Big Finn Hill Park is important to the area, because it serves as a link to other prominent neighborhood parks, such as O.O. Denny Park (46 acres) and St. Edward State Park (316 acre). This forest area is known as Finn Hill’s greenest neighborhood of Kirkland. This area includes 20 miles of trails and a vast array of wildlife.

Big Finn Hill Park Kirkland, WA has two entrances. The Juanita Drive entrance features a large soccer / lacrosse field and baseball field. The other entrance, near Thoreau Elementary, has three main baseball fields, complete with batting cages, restrooms, and a www.ilovekirkland.orgsnack shak.Due to the amount of sports fields, the park draws many sports teams from around the area. During a weekday, the park is the perfect place to enjoy. The park features the sports fields, but also boasts two large playgrounds - one targeted for older children and the other for toddler age. Around the play area is a small “off-leash” dog area. There is also a nice covered picnic area with tables and grill station - perfect for a picnic or party. Kids will enjoy the play equipment as well as the large grassy area, where they can release their energy.

With the exception of the play area and  grassy area near the Juanita Drive entrance, Big Finn Hill Park Kirkland, WA, remains mainly undeveloped and natural. Many local residents love the park for the wooded trails. The wooded areas are frequented by hikers. Hikers will love exploring the local trails and seeing the variety of wildlife, which includes: www.ilovekirkland.orgdeer, coyotes, owls, eagles, and other birds. Also, it is not uncommon to see horses riding their horses on the marked trails. Additionally, the park is loved by mountain bikers. In fact, there are spots in the wooded area where kids have set up jumps for their bikes.
