Blooming in the rain

When most of us think about beautiful flowers, sunny days and beautiful gardens come to mind.  Rainy days and moments after the rain has stopped can be some of the best times to capture very interesting flower photographs.  Dolores and I visited the Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden in Richmond, Virginia on a rainy day and found the blooms covered with rain droplets.

Always have your camera in hand to capture those special moments.  If you have photographs from your favorite places, please share them in the comments for this post.

Roy, having the droplets fresh coming off the flowers makes for exquisite photos and you captured another one here. Simply gorgeous.

Roy, is this a peony?  I'm especially drawn to the dewdrops on this gorgeous sweet flower. I don't know what it is, but I always think it makes it more beautiful. Fall Decor Fishhawk Lake By Gayle Rich-Boxman
