Hyper Local Posts Bring In Leads And ProfitMoney Magnet

Whether you’re a butcher, baker, candlestick maker or the neighborhood real estate agent, hyper local blog posts can absolutely bring in leads and profit.

I have used some of the methods below, and can attest to the fact that they work, and will get your phone ringing, if you write them in the proper way, and optimize your content for the SERPs (Search Engine Results Pages).

Here’s My List Of The Top 1 Dozen Ideas For Hyper Local Blog Post Content:
1. Market Reports

Great for real estate agents or mortgage loan originators, to establish themselves as the city or neighborhood expert. If written with the right keywords, clients will find you while searching for homes. If you’re not in the real estate industry, consider “teaming up” with a local agent
and working on this project together. This will help both of you, especially if you can work out some sort of trade or mutually beneficial agreement.

2. Local Christmas Parades, Tree Lighting Ceremony or “Meet Santa”
events

These blog posts are great for any type of business and locals will appreciate the information that you’re sharing. Locals are also great contacts to have, for not only their own consumption, but for the friends and neighbor referrals that they’ll send your way.

3. Tax rates comparison chart

Write a blog post that includes a chart of all of the tax rates in your county, or maybe just a comparison between a few surrounding cities. Potential homeowners will find and appreciate the
information, and this gives your business exposure, regardless of what your products or services are.

4. Neighborhood School Report

Giving stats and details about the local schools is another perfect way to show how much you know about your city, and will expose all types of businesses to young families in your area, or those looking to move to your area. Be sure to include links from your blog post to the
district and/or school's websites, as well as links to specific pages, such as the class supply list, or holiday/school year schedule, which are popular and frequently searched items.

5. A Book Report

Yah, you’re probably thinking, “uh, I stopped doing that after I graduated”. I’m not talking about an actual book report where you give the plot and synopsis, I’m referring to an overall idea of what was in the book, and choosing one that has to do with your business or industry. For example, if I owned a restaurant, I’d pick a book written by a famout chef, one that's
really popular right now. Again, this lets consumers know that you really know your business, and that you’ve even taking the time to read what other professionals and “experts” have to say about your craft. A consumer searching for the book online may find your blog post, and viola… you’ve attracted someone new to your business and blog.

6. Road Work/Freeway Closure

This may sound boring to you, but if you’re a consumer traveling, and you hit an area that has been shut down and don’t know why, you may go home and look it up online. Home buyers will also find this type of post, if you use the city name enough in your blog, and now they’ve been introduced to your business in the process and know that it’s in the city that they’d like to
live in. There are so few of your peers that will actually take the time to do this, so you are bound to get some exposure from a curious traveler or home seeker.

7. Grand Opening

Writing a blog post about another business may seem strange, but you really can use their marketing to your benefit. Consumers that have either driven by or received snail mail about their new store may be searching online for more info. Imagine how easy it will be for
them to find your blog post if you use their name as a keyword, several times throughout the content. Always remember to include info about your business at the bottom of the article and
send a copy to the new business owner, who will most likely be thrilled by the additional exposure, and may even return the favor.

8. Local Donation Drives

What a better way to connect with potential customers than through giving to others. It’s a perfect way to bring like-minded people together.

9. Halloween Hot Spots

This can include haunted houses in the area, pumpkin patches, public gatherings/parties and safe trick or treat locations for kids. Parents will love you for supplying this info all in one easy to find blog post!

10. City Updates

This type of blog post could cover anything that’s new and exciting in your city, or neighboring cities- ie: Are there new buildings going up, new housing developments being built, new parks, rezoning of a particular area, etc… You’ll have plenty of places to easily insert the names
of the cities that you’re writing about, to boost that keyword content.

11. Politics And Polling Places

You could actually get several blog posts out of this category, as you write about the people that are running for office, public sentiment, your opinion, and places to cast your ballot. A word of caution with this one; politics is a subject that can get a heated debate going,
so tread lightly, unless you don’t mind being controversial and potentially ruffling a few feathers ; )

12. Library Events

If you have a library in your area, that’s great. If not, then use one nearby or a county library for your blog post. It’s still exposure for your business. Many libraries hold events for children
throughout the year, so you can get a few posts from that, as well as simply writing a blog post about the library’s business hours, the atmosphere inside the library (ie; fireplace, comfy seats to read in, available coffee, etc…), special rules or guidelines that they may have, etc...
