Summer Memories Captured in Fabric

Just wanted to share my summer sewing ventures with you all.  The "Something's Fishy" quilt is for my new grand-nephew, Nathan Robert, born Oct. 10.  The beach houses quilt is from a kit which I altered to represent our town of Rehoboth Beach, DE.  Look closely and you can see my doggie, Merlin, guarding the street from his post in the window.

Great contrast and flow to both of these labors of love.  I can only visit the beach, but these quilts could sure bring the beach to me, maybe I need to try something like this for next summer!
