Our Job is to Get Signatures!

Terri Camp's post ..I Worked So Much, I Went Broke  is something everyone needs to read.

I have seen agents "focus" so much on one thing like FaceBook, Twitter, flyers, emails or other  various 'busy' activities, they forget what's important.

The goal is to get signatures! 

Signatures on listings, signatures on buyer agency, signatures on offers, signatures negotiating, signatures on home inspections and signatures on the documents at the closing table.

Whenever I am not going after a signature by way of a listing appointment, showing homes,  holding an Open House Party , going on inspections, appraisals, taking seminars,  spending personal time with family and friends...then I can usually be found in the world of blogging.

We have seen people doing so much...working so hard ... keeping so busy... they forget to get face to face with buyers, sellers and other agents. That's where the signatures come from.

Does everyone understand? Our job is to get signatures!

I have a Droid phone and I can place sticky notes on the home page.  I have one on the left hand side of the home page that says; GET UP EARLY, WORK HARD AND CLOSE DEALS.  Now closing deals means get things signed.

Amen! It's very easy for agents to get sidetracked by absolutely everything else possible besides the main focus of being toe to toe with Sellers and Buyers. Marketing time and Social Media time don't 'reject'.... real people can and sometimes do... Bottom line... if you aren't getting lots of rejection.... you aren't really working!

Steve, Signatures are  just the beginning. With out them...there are no closed deals.

Beverly, You have to at least put yourself in front to get those rejections. The more risks I take, the luckier I get!

This is an interesting perspective.  Of course, one must always advise their clients on when it is appropriate and perhaps not appropriate to sign.

Margaret, missed this post - but now that when I read it, I'd say, of course, our job is to get the signature - after telling the TRUTH! (being burnt down by some top agents who just take 'listings'...)
