Tuesday's Trip - Maryland and Northern Virginia Annual Quilter's Quest 2011

Every year the participating quilt shops of Northern Virginia and Maryland join together to participate in the annual Quilter's Quest.  Some organize bus trips, some do car pools and others just go on their own or drag along their spouse (that was me last year, Skip was a not so willing participant but so long as I fed him and took him to Dunkin Donuts he was ok with it).

This year there are 10 participating quilt shops:

And Sew It Goes - 8600 Foundary St., Savage, MD 20763

Bear's Paw - 8812 Orchard Tree Ln., Towson, MD 21286

Capital Quilts - 15926 Luanne Dr., Gaithersburg, MD 20877

Cottonseed Glory - 4 Annapolis St., Annapolis, MD 21401

Jinny Beyer Studio - 776 Walker Rd., Great Falls, VA 22066

Kelly Ann's Quilting - 9 South Fifth St., Warrenton, VA 20186

Patches Quilting & Sewing - 308 South Main St., Mt. Airy, MD21771

Seminole Sampler - 71 Mellor Ave., Catonsville, MD 21228

Sisto's Sewing & Quilting - 1911 North Market St., Frederick, MD 21701

Traditions at the White Swan - 16525 National Pike, Hagerstown, MD 21740

The Quilter's Quest starts on November 9, 2011 and runs through Sunday November 13, 2011.  There are prizes to be won, a block per shop to be had and much fun for those brave enough to complete the quest.  I missed one quilt shop of the 12 participating shops so I only have 11 blocks, but that's ok, I bought some fabric and will design my own 12th block to complete the quilt.    We did the quest all in one day last year.  For more information about opening times for the shops and the quest quilt and prizes you can visit the website
