Holiday Decorations in Colonial Williamsburg

One of the pleasures of visiting Colonial Williamsburg during the holiday season is seeing all of the decorations in natural materials.  Those that enjoy making their own decorations will be inspired by the traditional themes that always delight the eyes in this unique setting.

Dolores and I try to visit Colonial Williamsburg several times each year with cameras in hand. Dolores always wants to visit the colonial kitchen at the Palace and the Benjamin Powell house to get ideas for traditional recipes.

Please share photographs from your favorite places in the comments for this post.

Thanks for your comments. It is fun to photograph the holiday decorations.

Keith:  You should be making more trips to Colonial Williamsburg.  We take several hundred photographs every time we visit.

Enjoy the holidays and be well prepared for an outstanding 2012!

That's a beautiful wreath. If I saw something like that in the store I'd be very tempted to buy it.
