Welcome to Laz Luz, a Townhome community designed by Antoine Predock.

Sign for La Luz Townhomes in AlbuqurqueLa Luz (Spanish for “The Light”) is an exclusive community of townhomes established along the Bosque (Cottonwood Forrest) of the Rio Grand river. The complex is spread out over 80 Acres and provides 2 Tennis Courts a beautiful outdoor swimming pool, manicured grounds and access to the trails found along the Rio Grand Bosque.

World renowned architect Antonie Predock designed this complex to be in harmony with the elements around it.  The adobe construction, flowing architecture and terraced affect all provide  a very attractive community with amazing views and timeless floor plans. It has been said the La Luz del Oeste complex is keen to a giant sculpture rising from Earths landscape.

The La Luz subdivision consist of 96 Adobe homes most being built between 1968 and La Luz Townhomes grounds and elevation1972.  Although the floor plans vary the general interior theme was stunning red brick floors and aesthetic Douglas Fir planked ceilings. Each La Luz Townhouse is designed with privacy yet mountain and city light views in mind.  Through the past 43 years most have gone through some type of modern updating particularly with kitchens and baths but the contemporary and world class feel remains true.  The average size of La Luz home for sale is approx 1930 sq.ft with the largest home being just under 2400’ and smallest approximately 1400’

La Luz truly is a community and the people that are fortunate enough to reside here pride themselves for being part of the culture and harmony found only at La Luz del Oeste.

La Luz is perfectly situated on Albuquerque’s west side, just off Coors Blvd.  Excellent access to I-40 is just 2.5 Miles and Montano road another river crossing is just under 1 mile north.  Petroglyph National Monument is 1.5 miles.  Shopping and dining opportunities are abundant with the delightful Jinja restaurant just across the street!  You wont feel the hustle of traffic in La Luz the design eliminates traffic and city intrusions.

Browse through the La Luz community website

You will find navigating through La Luz a breeze with street names like Tennis Ct, Pool St, Tumbleweed, Berm, Link and Arco. Search La Luz Homes For Sale

I love looking at these cool homestyles you sell John. So different than the colonial style domination of the east coast.

Hi Belinda,  I really like the name too.  We also have a La Luz trail that climbs all the up to the top of Sandia Peak.. A very strenuous trail but WOW what a treat!

Hi Cheryl,  That is exactly what La Luz offers, those unstoppable views yet serenity and personality.

Hi Laura,  I love what I do and getting to know a neighborhood like La Luz is important to myself and my clients.

Hello Marge,  Glad your liking my Localism posts, just trying to get the word about some of these great communities like La Luz.

Hi Doug,  These really are some unique homes with timeless open plans, the views most of these have it just gorgeous!

Hey Marco,  Prices range from the Low 200's to the high 300's.  The biggest variable being size but upgrades play a major part of pricing as well.  One of Antoine Predocks early designs.

Hi Toni,  La Luz is quite unique and offers some great views, true community and a perfect location!

Hi Keith,  This community was built before Albuquerque's west side was really a place.  Still timeless though!

Hello Joan,  Thanks for the accolades, I know the people who reside in La Luz absolutely love it!  This is when you DO want the neighbors talking to your buyers.

Hi Will,  Toady's weather completely obstructed any views La Luz would have had. Rain, snow and low clouds..the mountain was not visible all day!

Patricia, Thank you as always!  I enjoy showcasing these interesting neighborhoods

Hi Jeanean.  I could live there, but I do enjoy a bit more yard space.  None to speak of here.

Hello Vickie,  I don't know if you have ever researched any about Antoine Predock, he is the real deal and quite famous.

Hi Michelle,  Thank you for your kindness! It easy to present these unique communities.

Hi Steve, And like you  I enjoy looking at homes and architecture from others areas of the country as well.  I suppose we all get a bit bored with what we see and sell.

Thank all of your for sharing your comments about this Townhome community known as La Luz, if you ever get a chance check out some of the work by Antoine Predock the architect of this complex, do so, he has created some beautiful and very famous pieces of architectural masterpieces.
