A house, your ideas, and the city?

The City of Edmond is hosting an open house tour and brainstorming session to build upon ideas for utilizing a house located at Post Road and Route 66.  Make plans to attend this two hour session beginning at 3:00pm, Thursday January 19. The tour starts at 3:00pm and the brainstorming session will proceed at 3:30pm lasting no later than 5:00pm.

The house is currently sitting idle near the future site of the adult softball complex. That is where you, Edmond residents, come into play.

"We are looking to provide a way for residents to come together and express their ideas on how this property can be used. There might be needs out there that we haven't thought of and this provides a great venue for those to be shared," said Steve Commons Assistant City Manager of Administration.

Conditions to the property are simple. The City will retain the property due to its proximity to future land development and funding has yet to be dedicated for this site, however grant opportunities could be sought.

City leaders are asking for RSVP's to this meeting; call Arielle Anderson in the City Manager's office at 359-4569 to confirm your participation.

Let your voice be heard and your ideas build upon Edmond history in the making! See you Thursday January 19.

This is a great idea. Getting people involved is one of the best ways to raise interest that there is.  Also, it is a new source of ideas that might prove to be helpful
