If you live in New Jersey this affects you!

There is an amendment being put before the state legislators that would allow local municipalities to enact their own local version of the REALTY TRANSFER TAX that is already required to be paid to the state upon the sale of a home.  This tax would be IN ADDITION to to what the state government already requires.  This is a bad idea on so many levels.  Especially now with depreciating home prices, this could have a dramatic effect on homeowners who carry a large portion of their total assets in their home.  Taking more money out of this economy is NOT the best solution for an already struggling state.   Please connect to the link below and sign the petition.  Tell your local legislators that new taxes are NOT what New Jersey needs right now.   In addition, send this to everyone you know who lives in New Jersey.  Together, we can make a difference!

 Thank you!
