Adapt and prosper - don’t and you won’t

 

Today I read a very interesting e-mail newsletter by Myers Barnes (new home sales trainer), his newsletter stimulated my thoughts for this post.

 

The only thing in marketing that stays the same is change . . . .

 

In the 1920 the hot media for marketing became the radio. There was a captured audience and millions of people would gather around their radios and turn on their radio for the evening.

 

Marketers embraced the radio and could mass market and sell their products to a wide audience.  

 

Then things changed in the late 1940’s with the advent of television came on the scene. At the time there were only three channels. The marketers had a narrow media with a vast audience that they could target their products to and build brand awareness.

 

Interesting almost 70 years later the brand loyalty that was built in that era has passed down through the generation and third and fourth generations are using the produces.

 

And then things changed

 

What started in the 1990’s the internet has become a marketing tool where we can reach an international audience or a target market with little or no cost.

 

For any business to prosper they will have to adjust their marketing concepts and the media to fit the world of electronic media. Today people are walking around with iPad’s and start phone and getting information on demand.

 

Successful business marketing meets the consumers demand for quick and easy marketing messages.

 

We either adapt and prosper don’t and you won’t.

Lou, isn't this the truth?  Kind  of similar to survival of the fittest right?  We all don't love change, but gotta do it!

Lou, I agree with the fast changing time between social media and old time interaction it is better to adapt and keep growing.
