Who would Goldilocks hire to list and SELL her Howard County home?
More importantly, why would Goldilocks select "Ellie McIntire & The McIntire Team of Keller Williams of Greater Howard County" to list and SELL her Howard County home?
The modern version of the Fairy Tale "Goldilocks and the Three Bears" is very apt for a Howard County home owner when they want to sell their home and need to find a local Realtor.
Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Goldilocks (A home owner in Howard County). She went for a walk in the forest (Started looking for a local Realtor to help her sell her Howard County home). Pretty soon, she came upon a house (Found many Agents on the Internet). She knocked and went inside (Starting interviewing Howard County Realtors to list her home).
At the table in the kitchen, there were four bowls of porridge (Four completely different types of Real Estate Agents). Yes, the ORIGINAL story had only three bowls, but the average home occupancy has increased in the past decade as adult children remain in the home and elderly parents move in with their children, so this is not an unreasonable expectation.
Goldilocks was hungry.
She tasted the porridge from the first HUGE bowl at the table (The Real Estate Team that is so big that they have so many agents that when the home owner calls to talk to the person who's name is on the sign, they talk to everyone in the office that they have not heard of and yet NEVER the person they called in the first place).
"This porridge is too big and hot!" she cried (The BIG Agent that she called has so many listings that the Howard County Home-owner knows that her little house will never be the most important listing in the portfolio, just a little listing on a very long list. How much attention will it really get?).
So, she then tasted the porridge from the smallest bowl at the table (The small Agent that only sells 4 homes a year if they are lucky and sells Real Estate part time because they either have a spouse who is the main breadwinner or they have a full time job that really pays the bills).
"There is not enough porridge in this little bowl," announced the disapointed Goldilocks (That Agent does not have the fiscal resources, experience and current area knowledge to market her Howard County home to it's full potential ).
She then tried the porridge from a third bowl at the table. It was an old, less used dusty antique bowl (The Agent who has been selling Real Estate for so many years that they talk about the good old days before computers and their original Real Estate photo was taken in Black & white).
"This porridge is old and stale" said the horrified Goldilocks (The agent who has not embraced technology and still thinks putting an ad in the newspaper is the best way to sell a home; they don't text, don't have a smart phone (if they even have a cell phone) and they check their e-mail account every week or so- they are ready to retire and being a Realtor means they get to go and have a free lunch at a Brokers Open once a week).
So then she tasted the last perfectly sized bowl of fresh porridge at the most perfect temperature (The McIntire Team of Keller Williams Realty Centre of Greater Howard County).
"Ahhh, this porridge is just HEAVEN and PERFECT for me" she said with delight (The PERFECT Agent (me of course) who has the ideal amount of experience and is in the top 1% of Realtor's; the perfect sized team that EVERY Client gets undivided attention and receives constant communication (Not too big and yet not too small); the producing agent who PERSONALLY sells over 30 homes a year; the progressive agent who has embraced modern technology, social media, video and blogging in her business plan; the creative agent who thinks "Outside the Box" with every home that she sells and the agent who has RAVING FANS!)
Goldilocks was very happy and signed the listing agreement right away. She was too busy to sit in any chairs or sleep on any beds as she was off to get her Howard County home ready to put on the market with Ellie McIntire & The McIntire Team.
