The most amazing KICK BUTT Listing Presentation contest EXTENDED!! YEAH!!!!

By
Real Estate Agent with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices New England Properties Licensed in Connecticut

Kick butt listing presentation contestThe entries for the MOST AMAZING KICK BUTT LISTING PRESENTATION CONTEST we have gotten in so far are amazing, truly kick butt if you ask me. The judges and I have decided to extend the contest for 2 weeks. You have until midnight PST on Monday March 12, 2012 to get your entry in!

(No, I am STILL not telling you who the judges are, they are sequestered until all entries are in and the winners are chosen! The thought did occur to me that the fact they were sent to a warm island location until the contest was over might have something to do with them insisting the contest be extended... )

As a member of ActiveRain I have come to rely on other members to show me new and better ways to do things, to learn new technology as it comes available. This is the greatest thing about ActiveRain, the willingness of members to share. We on ActiveRain become leaders in the industry, the best of the best are here to lead us forward! That is why I decided to host this contest. I wanted to change my own listing presentation and went online to see what was out there. YouTube had a host of videos on the subject, but there was NO MEAT to the videos. I made my changes on my own ... all the while thinking of the best of the best on ActiveRain. THE MOST AMAZING KICK BUTT LISTING PRESENTATION CONTEST WAS BORN!!!

So now you have two extra weeks to enter the contest. Let me post the rules of the road here for you in case you missed it the first time around.

So, here is the deal. Tell us about your kick butt listing
presentation. Here are a few things to think about when writing your
post.

  • What do you do from that first contact to the actual presentation.
  • Are you a 2 stepper, viewing the house first, then coming back with your presentation?
  • Do you go over the comps and give them a suggested list price range on your first visit?
  • What product do you use, or have you developed your own presentation?
  • Have you gone paperless with your listing presentation?
  • If you have not gone paperless, do you leave the presentation
with the customer when you go? And if you don't leave it there and they
specifically ask for it, what do you tell them?
  • Do you have an interview process when they first call you, or do you wait to discuss this face to face?
  • Do you have a kick butt pre-listing packet you email/drop off to them?

You
get the idea. And as a reward you will get.... points point points and
be recognized as one of the best listing presentation agents in the
history of real estate! Our benevolent people in charge at ActiveRain
have agreed to award the following points:

First Place: 3000 POINTS
Second Place: 2000 POINTS
Third Place: 1500 POINTS

All other entries will receive the usual points for posting, plus an additional 500 POINTS

Of course those of you who don't list
properties may want to participate. And I am an equal opportunity
person... So.... give us your kick butt presentation of why a consumer
would use YOU! What do you give them, what do you tell them that would
make them pick you over another buyers agent, another mortgage person,
another home inspector, another stager, you get the idea.

Rules of the Road:

  • THE CONTEST IS EXTENDED TO  MONDAY MARCH 12, 2012 AT 12:00 MIDNIGHT PACIFIC STANDARD TIME. PLEASE POST YOUR ENTRY BY THEN!

  • YOU MUST POST A LINK TO YOUR PRESENTATION IN THE ORIGINAL CONTEST POST THE MOST AMAZING KICK BUTT LISTING PRESENTATION CONTEST!
  • You need to tell us if you are a one visit or two visit type of agent, and tell us why and how you make it work
  • Tell us if you send a pre-listing packet or not
  • Tell us if you leave your work behind!
  • You can either do a screen shot of your presentation, use
something like sliderocket.com, make it a video presentation on Youtube,
or download a pdf file (to somewhere that will hold your pdf file such
as your website or wordpress site) and put a link to it. You
must allow us to see enough of your presentation to give us the idea of
why yours is the best, most kick butt listing presentation in the
history of real estate ever! But of course you do not need to "give away
    the store".

REMEMBER, GO TO THE ORIGINAL POST TO PUT YOUR ENTRY IN THE COMMENT SECTION! YOU CAN FIND THE ORIGINAL POST HERE:THE MOST AMAZING KICK BUTT LISTING PRESENTATION CONTEST!

Need to reblog this and get the word out!  I think everyone who thinks it's 'too much work' needs to realize that by doing this they'll come up with some outstanding ideas to make their listing presentation a better on! Good luck to all in the contest!

This looks like a really great contest to share ideas as well as get some from the experts here on AR.

Thanks everyone, glad to give you a bit more time. And Sally, I think you are right. This is exactly why I wanted to do this contest. We can all learn from each other, and my guess is after people look at all the entries they will be tweaking their own. I know I already have!

There is nothing like having a kick butt presentation at your fingertips.

Andrea:

Thanks for the extension.  I have my post in draft form but kinda lost interest. Especially after reading some of the entries.  But now I have enough time to finish it.  Thanks.

Hi Andrea. I might just put one post together for this "Kick Butt" Contest, now that it has been extended. I just knew I wouldn't be able to participate with all that has been going on. Thanks for the extension!

So, I am hoping to see many of you posting your KICK BUTT listing presentation. Well, everyone except the person who has been littering my posts with their collection of shoes and other items they are trying to sell... they need some work on their listing presentation though....

Have never done a "formal" listing presentation that could be a one size fits all.  Each listing opportunity I go on is completely different and I fine tune what I am going to say based on the circumstances.  I always have data in a folder in case I need it but up to now I have done fine without it.  This is probably because most of my sellers are referrals from very satisfied clients and half my work is already done for me.  Would have loved to have entered this contest but I don't think my way works for everyone.

I am really excited to see everyone's version of the listing presentation.  It is great that so many are willing to share their ideas.  My listing presentation is pretty helter skelter so I look forward to tweeking it using some new ideas from this great bunch of Realtors.  Thanks to all!

Andrea, I know who the judges are...(based on missing comments from them in this thread - usually they are very active participant - and still have prominence on AR...)

It's been a quiet time for me on AR for last few weeks - and yes, I have a great presentation which I have been using it....rarely, but I think it is a great presentation so you should see the link to my presentation in the original post.

May my the best presentation win....(or something like that...)
