I just did a consult on a home from the 1800s!

You would never know from the outside that it used to be an Inn for stage coach travel. It looks very ordinary as you walk up. In fact I was trying to figure out how to give the curb appeal some oomph.

Actually the coolest part of the house was the basement! LOL

You went through this little door and spent your time stooped over. The coolest part were the huge logs holding up the house! None of those slim line floor joists here. Oh no! we have tree trunks! Needless to say they won't be developing this space any time soon but it made for great exploring ;).

Sounds like a very interesting house. I always love houses with character. You will have to post pictures if you get the job. Good luck!

Janice - You're so lucky to have such old, historical homes back east.  It must have been great fun taking a trip back in time.

Janice, I love some of these older homes. I'm very lucky that we still have a lot of houses from the 1830's - 1880's that are still around in my market. they are always fun to show, almost every one has unique features. they didn't build cookie cutter houses back then.

That's for sure Malcolm! I would think it takes a special kind of buyer to purchase one of these homes.

Sounds awesome....but I wouldn't want to live in an older home....not my thing.  You need a special buyer for a home like that, not always easy to find.  I hope you get the job so we can see some pics.

Sharon T, I agree, it will be a special buyer.  I know it wouldn't be my choice. The rooms are small as well.
