My Florida Real Estate Adventure Continues

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Capital Properties

Today, 8 days after my sign up date with Keller Williams;  I have had my orientation, know my way around the office and have set up my Miami RE and the Keller Williams, too.  However, with all my technical experience, I still do not get into the sites smoothly.  Every time, I have an issue with log in.  I wasted so much time on this that I almost have "buyer remorse" for setting this goal for myself.

From the Miami Real Estate Association I recieved the ekey that utelizes the Iphone, today. It is FREE in Miami!  This is a new system for me.  I will test it tomorrow on the house next door, before my real showings over the weekend.

On the Miami RE Association website, I do not understand why I got one free site that looked pretty and after setting it up, I cannot get in.  Instead, I see a very unattractive site without any pictures.

I spent the week also looking with my local business partner, at good investments for out of town buyers.  The one buyer I had in mind, is not going to take the risk as his expectations are unreasonable.  That is too bad because the return was between  3 to 7%.  That is a decent return on investment that I plan to share with my sphere up north.

Looking back on this week, and based on my experience I could see how overwhelming this process could be for anyone who has not been an agent before.  One has to take one step at a time and not try to accomplish it all in one week, as I did.

It is a business that takes some time to learn and to get into.  Don't get discouraged.

Wow - the joys of moving your biz to a new area. I haven't tried it.

Getting things going in a new area (and if I understand your post correctly, a new office for you) must be a challenge. Here's to a smooth spin up and I hope you enjoy KW. Cheers.

Mark,  I have been in the real estate business up north for many years and plan to continue for many more.  I do not get discouraged easily, but I just do not like wasting time.

Dan, I plan to be in Miami Beach only part of the winter and fly down periodically.  I am not starting a new farm here, etc.  the idea is to partner with like minded individuals (integrity, experience, and dependibility are very important to me) and give them my referrals mostly.

If I like the way KW works, I might switch up North to one of their offices.
