Lots of agents are getting more and more leads through online marketing and lead generation these days, but it’s important to know how to turn a lead into a client! Do you know how to engage with your online leads? Here are a couple of tips:

Call them back! When you get a new lead’s contact information from your online marketing, pick of the phone and give them a call! Our research shows that the sooner you call a lead the more likely they will convert into a customer. This means 1 hour is better than 2 hours later which is much better than 2 or 3 days later (and infinitely better than not at all!) Don’t give your leads time to forget which website they were on or find what they were looking for elsewhere!

Keep in touch through email. Having an automated drip email system will keep you in contact with your leads and help you create a relationship with them without taking up all your free time! Sending personalize emails on a scheduled basis will let your leads know that you will be there for them when they’re ready to get started.

Give them useful information. Giving your leads the information they are looking for is one of the best ways to get new clients. Make sure they are getting the latest listing that match what they are looking for with daily listing updates and that the content on your site is updated and current.

I've learned online leads are only hot for the first two hours, the sooner the better.  Some of the Agents I've worked with don't really comprehend that part of it, and wait a day or two before responding to the consumers inquiry.  They're generally unsuccessful, and blame it on the leads.
