Daymond John

Ever heard of Daymond John? He is the CEO and founder of the clothing line, FUBU. He is also on the great TV show Shark Tank, which airs on Friday nights on ABC. The show features entrepreneurs coming to these 5 millionaires looking for them to invest in their companies. Daymond is one of these guys.

I sat and listened to Daymond speak last night for about 2 hours, and loved every minute of it. He spoke of his life and how he failed multiple times before hitting it big. He said he has 5 rules for making it in life, and I thought I would share these with you.

Set a goal - Daymond said before all else, know what you want.

Homework - Once you decide what you want, do your homework. Learn everything about what you want to do and become an expert.

Love what you do - He said if you don't love what you do, move on.

You are the Brand - You are what makes your idea work. You are the brand. Never forget that.

Keep moving - If you have a setback, keep moving. The worse thing you can do is give up.

I hope that these rules from Daymond John spark some new ideas for you today. I know they did for me!

Hi Peter, I agree.  Just as our founder Gary Keller says "you have to fail to succeed".

Those are good rules for success.  I think that if someone sets their mind to it today there are more chances than ever to succeed.

Respectfully, those elements are essentials for success and has been repeated by successful mentors for decades.

Peter,

He is one of my favorites on Shark Tank!

Thanks for posting what you learned from him.

Have a great day!
