Redding CA - The Promise of Spring - A Beautiful Easter Wish - Be Happy Living Life--today is Tuesday and we are heading into the Easter weekend. I just wanted to take a few moments to express my gratefulness for so many things. I am having the intention to return and visit all my friends this week. We have a lighter week than normal and so I am finally hoping to return and maintain a regular schedule back in the RAIN. Yeah and Yeah! I have missed being here and missed all my friends.
The Promise of Spring--We have special plans for the week and weekend. Life is good and we are enjoying the first hints of Spring weather. We spent the last weekend preparing to get our little Courtyard up and running. There are more things that I have to do but we are off to a good start and I am very pleased with how it is coming. I have always loved to garden and we are in the market for a new hummingbird feeder and I am shopping for just the right one. My strategy for the garden is different this year....I bought plants to enjoy all year long. Lavender, sage, thyme, rosemary and Pink Jasmine. For color, I bought Lobeila. We bought an outdoor rug that I have been shopping and pricing for over a year. It is so fun to create a new little world for us to enjoy. My back is complaining but it is a good thing.
The Beautiful Wish--I wish for you that you take some time for those special things in life that you need and love. Whatever that may be is something that should have importance and priority in your life. Stop and take time to do something that is just for you or your loved one.
Be Happy Living Life--We are doing that "Spring" cleaning thing this week and I am so excited about that. I've made a new rule in the house and it is "when I clear a spot it will remain clear......or else.....". You have to know the two of us to understand this point. I like things put away and the spaces in my life to be beautiful and to flow. David sees a bare spot (art requires space) he will put something there. It is a fundamental struggle in life....for us.
We moved to Salinas in 2002 and I had to go to work right away. The boys unpacked and decorated the house....I never had any time to change anything and it was quite something. It was fun to see them express themselves. I appreciated their efforts that included trying to please me. It was a fun time. When we bought a house in Soledad, I made it known that this one was mine to decorate and they stood aside. I had a lot of fun decorating that house. I have decorated this house but David no longer has a 3 bay garage for a Man cave and so he keeps bringing things into the house.....working on compromise.....
The first thing I got cleared and ready in this little house was the dining room. I unpacked and put everything away so that it could be used. It was the first place David chose to lay out all his prints and to keep his backpacks for reorgnanizing. I have been silent about it for a year and so this week we will figure out where those things go and stay.....LOL!
Please don't think that I have anything but great appreciation and gratefulness for having David in my life. He is the sweetest and greatest gift for me. I love to pamper and support those people in my life and David gets the royal treatment for anything he wants.....but we have agreed that we cannot have anyone to dinner or sit down to a nice dinner with the dining room the way it is. This is a smaller house and we just need less things. We are working on that.
Be Happy Living Life--So while some of our plans are on the very mundane side of life....they are for us the "Happy Living Life" things that provide that lifestyle we enjoy. How good is that? It is very good and so I just want to encourage you again to take some time and do those things that make Living Life a Happy endeavor.
Open yourself to the rebirth of Spring. Have a beautiful Easter and be happy living life!
