Motivational Power Quote

Common Courtesy

“Life is not so but that there is always time enough for courtesy.”

Ralph Waldo Emerson, poet, lecturer, writer

As I see it . . . . . . .

Common courtesy

We recently had an experience with a co-operation sales associate in a transaction that was a nightmare.

It stated out with the MLS information being incorrect. In attempting to reach the sales associate there was no respond to the call or the e-mail. Finally I resorted to calling the broker to get the information the broker said he would contact the sales associate and have him return the call.

It was over 24 hours between my first call to the sales associate and a return call.

The call from the sales associated started with “why did you call my broker?” and I explained to him that I had called him and send him e-mail requesting the information. He responded with it’s in the MLS and I explained to him that it wasn’t and that’s why I called.

He said he was too busy to get the information and hang up on the call.

My buyer moved on to another home and purchased it, the listing that I called the sales associate on is still on the market and the information in the MLS is still incorrect.

People are professional or their not. People have common courtesy or they don’t. In this case the sales associate lacked both.

....Experience Isn't Expensive.... It's Priceless!

Good morning Lou,

Common courtesy seems to be going the way of personal responsibility...two important traits that need to be taught again to adults and youth alike.

Happy Easter!
