Belle Mead Hot Glass~ Hillsborough NJ~ A Beautiful Place to Shop !!

By
Real Estate Agent with Callaway Henderson Sotheby's International Realty

If you live anywhere close to Montgomery or Hillsborough NJ and you are searching for  the most beautiful and exquisite Christmas ornaments and gifts, then stop in at the Belle Mead Hot Glass Studio.

Behind the small retail area you can watch the mastery of glass blowing in action, producing these gorgeous holiday gems.  The heat from the furnaces reaches almost 2100°, so as you can imagine, the studio is quite warm on a cold wintry day.

Just a few of my beautiful pieces.

The owner of the studio, Bob Kuster, started working with glass in the last 1990's. For 15 years, he owned and operated a factory that produced specialized carpentry equipment. He subsequently sold the company and discovered his love for glass work after attending a workshop at Bucks County Community College.

The carpentry equipment's loss is our gain!

The Belle Mead Hot Glass Company, 884 Route 206 in Belle Mead, is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Mon.-Sat., but hours may vary weekly. For information, call (908) 281-5516.

Monika, the glassblowers are mesmerizing.  About 10 years ago my girlfriend and I went to the studio with our kids and each kid got to blow the glass for a second.  Of, we bought the ornament each child helped make, and now it's a treasure.  Thanks for your comment

Lisa--Thank you for sharing this beautiful art with us...I am certain the photos don't do the glass blowing process justice and the photos are beautiful!

Lisa-This is so beautiful. It reminds me of when I was a little girl and we went on a field trip to watch a glass blower.  It was truly amazing to see what craftsmanship it takes to put such a beautiful piece together. Happy Holidays!
