Colorado Springs has a new logo

The Colorado Springs Convention and Visitors Bureau felt it needed to go with the times, and therefore over a year ago it was decided that Colorado Springs re-brand itself. With a mere $111,000 budget, the city of Colorado Springs decided on this new logo.Old Colorado Springs Logo

This loge tells me if  you want to experience the 80's go to Colorado Springs....LOL....Little did they know that the citizens of Colorado Springs would "rise" and protest against the new design. Some hated the tagline, some hated the logo, some -of course- both. A Facebook page was created to voice the dissatisfaction.

Finally, a few days ago, Colorado Springs unveiled the new-new logo and it is definitely a step up from the old logo.

Redesigned Logo (2012)

As my personal opinion: I like the logo better than the previous one, however it still has an 80's feel to it. While the logo, doesn't thrill me, I LOVE this new poster. It speaks exactly to why I live here:

Susanna~They spent $111,000 on their new logo? I like the looks of the new logo better, but the tag line could use some work, unless you're thinking of it being a party town. :)

Have an AWESOME day!

Susanna,  The poster's message killed it!  What a great message!  The logo ... not so much ... either one of them!

Hi Susanna, I agree with you.  The poster is GREAT.  The new logo and the tag line looks good in the context of the poster.  By themselves....well......

I agree with you. While the logo alone is not a "wow" factor it seems they have the graphic standards in order!
