Thanks, John, for sharing your photographs.  What a wonderful area to explore!  You may need to add extra bedrooms for all of us that will want to come to visit.

A fitting post for Earth day and one for my own heart. What a great way to get people to celebrate the beauty of nature and our amazing planet - waive fees and make it affordable, especially for families. Excellent. Let's hope many people take advantage of this great opportunity and leave feeling at peace and in harmony with Mother Earth. Happy Tuesday to you Q-man.

I remember a trip to that area when I was about 19.  I was fascinated with the petroglyphs, and it was my first time seeing them.  Free Admission to the parks is a wonderful way to celebrate Earth Day!

Interesting photos, John!  CONGRATULATIONS on having this blog FEATURED in the Photos group!

John,

Those are truly fantastic pictures and I like the tie in with earth day and the free admission to the New Mexico Parks. I suggested your blog as it is an excellent Localism. New Mexico as I remember has several very cool parks to visit.

Hi John,

Great photos and so many will be able to take advantage of the free admission. Happy Earth Day April 21st! Our museums and parks are so pricy to get into in CA so I am hoping there will be some reduced or free admissions here too.

I really like your 2nd photo a lot.
