There were 15 of us this time around and some were new attendees that I am thrilled made the trip. Andrea Bedard arrived from the Silver Spring area and Diane Phillips came down from Westminster (about an hour away). I have subscribed to them for what seems like forever but this was our first face to face.
Margaret Rome so graciously coordinated this meet up AND the great networker she is she invited one of her clients who has started a business. It was really nice meeting the former owner of the cantilevered house that Margaret blogged about so many times.
Rich was the sole male attendee this time round and was teased about he and his harem. Too funny. It was nice he took the time to attend as today was his wedding anniversary to his bride of 42 years. And I am sure if she knew there was only going to be him and the rest all women she may have cried foul on such a special day.
G&M Restaurant has delightful crab cakes and the best I have eaten in a long time not to mention they are huge! It was quite the perfect treat for a rainy day lunch. Maryland food at it's finest. Our waitress was delightful and handled us crazy AR friends quite well although I was a bit disappointed in some of the other staff members. Crabby would be the best way to describe them. Oh well... they need to learn how to do Margarets 'I do not do upset'. Maybe another time.
So who was there for this great get together of AR alumni? Margaret Rome, our hostess, Margaret Woda, Ellie McIntire, Bridget McGee, Andrea Bedard, Hillary Gibbons, June Piper-Brandon,Valerie Kuester, Diane Phillips, Rich Iarossi, me and some new, I am sure, soon to be AR members.
