Middletown High School Beatle Concert

This brought back some very old memories.  I was 10 years old when the Beatles invaded the U.S., and still remember seeing them on the Ed Sullivan Show.  I call it an invasion because they were the only thing that the younger generation talked about, especially young girls.

The Middletown High School, in Middletown, CT will be holding a Beatles Concert on May 5th, and I am hoping to be there.  I am looking forward to this concert not only because the kids will do a great job putting it on, but because I am curious as to how the younger gereration's take is on a group that was the hottest thing around a half a century ago.

Today's music is very different than the songs that the Beatles sang, but their music will live on forever.  There songs just like Elvis before them are timeless, it never grows old.  That is something that I would like to be able to say about us that were there to hear them when they first appeared on a U.S. stage.

If you do not have anything planned for the night of May 5th, stop by Middletown High School in Middletown, CT, and re-live some great old memories.

I wish I were in the neighborhood, this is something I am sure I would love to see.  (I remember the first appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show too)

George, well the Middletown High School is a little far for me to travel to see a Beatle's concert, but I'll be there in spirit.  Love the Beatles.

I have heard groups that play Beatles music a few times. Certainly not the real thing, but always so much fun. For those of us, that heard the real thing, it was an amazing time in music history.

Hi George - In my life, I've loved them all--all of the songs by the Beatles and the show at Middletown High School sounds like a great time!
