Hi John - What a great program! Hunger is just plain unacceptable, and when the sufferers are children, that's just so much worse. It's wonderful that the people involved have put this program together.

John - What a great program to take care of the children in need in your area.  It's hard to believe that children in our country go hungry, but 12,000 lunches a day in the Q says we have a lot of work to do.  Excellent local post!

Thank you, John.  This can be a literal lifesaver for some families.  I hate to think of ANYONE going hungry.  And, they will get some company, too!  Win-Win!

John,

That is so wonderful.  We had a friend (principal) who organized food for all the kids at schools, and made sure the poor ones took home lots of sandwiches, etc. A

John, A great cause to support! I feel bad with my blog today showing lots of food I make, however, knowing I am generous and love to share I'll be ok. I don't support gluttony, so sharing is key!

John - this is a great thing to do. I was stunned when I read how many children are hungry in America. It's a shame on us.

THAT'S a huge number of locations and total number of meals served John. A big tribute to your community with how well folks in the Albuquerque area help out others. Simply a wonderful announcement.

So glad to hear that the community is stepping up with support for hungry children, John - no child in our abundant world should go hungry.  As Gary (above) indicates, a real testiment to the caring Albuquerque community.

Hi John,  What is that orange banner under your picture?  I must have missed that when I was out doing real estate.  Congratulations!

The feed the kids program is a great cause.  Kids should not have to go to bed hungry.  Great job of publicizing this.

Turning Houses into Homes

They do that around here too.  I think it is part of the Federal School Lunch program.  It is turning into a rather middle class thing.  My wife has taken our kids just to get out of the house and set with her friends while they eat.  Mixed emotions.  I don't want to see any hungry.  don't like big gov programs.
